Beacon was founded in 2005 in response to the growing need for high quality environmental assessment, strategic advice and planning services. The firm specializes in all aspects of terrestrial and aquatic ecology, with offices in Markham, Bracebridge, Guelph and Ottawa.

The Beacon Environmental team offers more than 125 years of combined experience. The bulk of that experience has been based in southern and central Ontario, but also extends across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland, and also includes international projects.
Beacon Environmental donates a percentage of its pretax profit to causes supported by Beacon staff.
