Beacon Environmental has the expertise to address the natural heritage component of water and wastewater studies, and has done so for many municipal and provincial infrastructure projects. These studies have included both preliminary and detailed designs, and have involved obtaining approvals and permits from Fisheries and Oceans Canada, submission of sediment and erosion control plans, site supervision during construction, and post-construction monitoring.
Beacon Environmental regularly provides the natural environment components for Federal, Provincial and Municipal Class Environmental Assessments. Federal Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (CEAA) projects in Ontario have included work for the Ministry of Transportation, Ontario Power Generation and General Electric Canada. Our experience with large, multi-jurisdictional Environmental Assessments includes mining projects in Ontario, Quebec and Nunavut, energy facilities in Ontario, and a proposed smelter in Newfoundland.
