Beacon regularly prepares Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) for projects at various scales in response to municipal, provincial and/or federal regulations and policies. These studies typically involve assessments of existing conditions, liaison between clients and various agencies, and recommendations for mitigation and management. These impact assessments focus on the firm's core expertise in aquatic and terrestrial ecology but also typically integrate expertise from hydrologists, hydrologeologists and other disciplines as required. Projects have included assessments related to proposed aggregate extraction operations, infrastructure, and various land developments.
Beacon staff have managed and led Environmental Impact Studies across southern and central Ontario.
